Scarlatti, Alessander

Alessandro Scarlatti(1660-1725), Italian composer, went to Rome to study, founder of "Neapolitan School", noted teacher and innovator of opera. He was the court music director and teacher at three conservatories. He composed about 115 operas, masses, cantatas, and oratorios.
