Scarlatti, Dominico

Dominico Scarlatti(1685-1757), Italian composer, son and pupil of Alessandro, went to Venice, acquainted with Vivaldi and Handel, named assistant maestro di cappella of the Cappella Guilia at St. Peter's and later to the Marques de Fontes. He composed oratorios, cantatas, masses, 555 sonatas for solo keyboard.
