Schoenberg, Arnold

Arnold Schoenberg(1874-1951), Austrian composer, born in Hungary but raised in Vienna, studied at the Stern Conservatory in Berlin. He moved to France, and then to US, taught at USC(University of So. Cali), UCLA and University of Chicago. His music is not easy to appreciate, he expected listeners to hear very complexity of the scores, as they did in tonal music. He composed operas, symphonic poems, concertos(violin, piano), and chamber music.
