Schwarz-Schilling, Reinhard

Reinhard Schwarz-Schilling(1904-1985), German composer, studied in Munich, Cologne, and extended in Italy, taught at the Musikhochschule in Berlin. A devoted catholic, his music was often inspired by religious and spiritual themes. His tonal language follows in the tradition of J. S. Bach and strongly influenced by his teacher Heinrich Kaminski. He composed a wide range of orchestral, chamber and choral works.
