Slezak, Leo

Leo Slezak(1873-1946), Moravian operatic tenor, made his opera debut in Lohengrin in 1896, sang with Berlin Opera for one year, then became a member of Vienna State Opera for next 26 years. He went to Paris for further study and continue to sing in London and NY Met. He retired in 1933 from stage and became a popular comedian in film, he possessed a large and rather undisciplined sense of humor.
